In October 2025, Canada experienced an increase in employment, with the workforce expanding by 66,600 jobs, or 0.3%, following a rise of 60,400 in September. The growth in jobs was primarily fueled by part-time positions, which surged by 85,100, or 2.3%, effectively counterbalancing an 18,500, or 0.6%, decrease in full-time employment.
